- EPA Tier 4 Final Volvo Water-Cooled Diesel Engine: Thompson Pump equips this 12-inch dry-prime solids handling jet pump with an industry leading 315 horsepower Volvo 873VE 7.7 L (7700 cc) engine. The turbo charged in-line 6-cylinder, 4-cycle direct-injected engine is a premier choice among water pump manufacturers selling into rental, mining, dewatering, municipal, sewage handling, and utility operations.
- Max Flows of up to 5600 GPM or 336,000 Gallons Per Hour (GPH) at 1800 RPM
- Max Head pressure (at dead head) of 360 Feet or 156 PSI
- 12 Inch Intake & Discharge Ports: The 12JSCG-DVS-873VE-M pump is equipped with 12 inch suction and discharge ports that come standard with male NPT fittings. Bare flange, Ball & Lever x Socket (Bauer Compatible), and Cam/Groove Quick Couplings are also available options for fittings. Ask about our 10-inch x 10-inch or 10-inch suction x 8-inch discharge configuration options.
- Over 3 Inch Maximum Solids Handling: Operators can allow up to 3.38 inch spherical solids through this “non-clog” wet end that stands up well in dewatering, sewer-by-pass, and a host of other high demand water transfer applications.
- Max Operating Temperature of 200F secures peace of mind that your pump casing won’t overheat under constant use
- Large Capacity 150 Gallon Fuel Tank: Operators can run 10 hours of continuous operation on one tank of fuel assuming 14.1 gallon per hour fuel consumption at 1800 RPM (or 20 hours at 1400 RPM). The single wall 150 gallon fuel capacity is included in either the skid-mount or trailer equipped models. Non-UL double wall tanks are also available upon request.
- 17.5 Inch Impeller is non-clogging, enclosed, dynamically balanced, and made of 65-45-12 ductile iron, optimized to reduce axial loading and prolong seal and bearing life with rear-equalizing technology.
- Able to run dry 3” mechanical seal made of Tungsten Carbide rotating and Silicon Carbide stationary faces. Mounted inside of elastic, self-adjusting bellows created to withstand extreme pressure. Other components are 304 SS and VITON.
- Automatically shuts down for low oil pressure or high water temps
- Open Skid-Mount or Trailer Equipped: Operators choose between a skid-mounted or towable trailer equipped pump packages. Hydraulic and electric trailer brakes are available along with several other options. Most operators choose the conventional open frame that includes a robust single pick point lifting eye. When noise reduction is necessary, a sound-attenuated Silent Knight canopy is available, lowering the ambient noise to 70 decibels at 23 feet.
