Submersible Pumps

Submersible water pumps are an excellent tool for contractors, industrial operations, and consumers needing portable dewatering capabilities with electric drive motors. Submersible pumps are different from other pump styles in that they're designed for the pump body to be closely coupled with an hermetically sealed motor. The entire assembly is capable of being submerged beneath the water's surface, allowing your water source to be properly pumped from within not incorporating a suction hose. Submersible pumps prevent pump cavitation, an issue caused by the difference in elevation between the fluid surface and the placement of your pump. These submersible pumps have proven more effective than engine and electric driven centrifugal pumps attempting to pump water from depths greater than 25 or more feet. The suction lift of a engine or electric drive centrifugal pump is at most 25 to 28 feet whereas a submersible pump can push fluids vertically to the discharge point with a head measuring on some pumps of 50 and sometimes up to and over 150 feet.
